Initially in my practice I never believed the patients when they tried to correlate the presence of oedema to hot season. However, with the passage of time and in the last few years, I am convinced that one of the causes of oedema of the feet is hot season. By now I have seen half a dozen patients who never have oedema when in UK but have developed oedema when they visit India and whose all the medical investigations are absolutely normal.

In fact, I have also seen patients who complain of oedema of the feet in the city of Mumbai which disappears when they go to places near Mumbai like Igatpuri where the weather is more cold. In short, I am convinced of this entity.
